When Palace Cinemas, a leading boutique cinema operator, sought a partner for their national multi-site fit-out and refurbishment program, they approached Shogun Signs & Print. Our mission was to act as the specialist fabrication partner responsible for translating their high-quality branding into exceptionally well-crafted, durable, and cohesive cinema signage solutions across multiple states.
The Challenge: Cohesive Branding and Complex Logistics
The core challenge was two-fold:
- Design and Technical Compliance: To design a custom, high-end signage package that perfectly complemented the unique architectural fit-out of three distinct locations (Byron Bay, Sydney, and Melbourne) while meeting strict local building and electrical compliance standards.
- Short Timeframe & Logistics: To coordinate the manufacturing and installation of a diverse signage package, including prominent feature logos and detailed wayfinding systems, within a tight, non-negotiable construction timeline across three states.
Solution: Specialist Fabrication and National Coordination
Our team utilised technical expertise and meticulous project management to meet Palace Cinemas’ high standards:
- Premium Feature Logos: We designed and manufactured unique, custom back-lit feature logos for the main entry point of each cinema. These feature pieces were engineered using high-grade aluminium and precision LED lighting to ensure a consistent, flawless visual identity regardless of the location or ambient lighting.
- Custom Wayfinding Systems: We developed a cohesive yet adaptable wayfinding system for each venue. This involved router-cutting custom directional and identification signs, ensuring perfect colour matching and high visibility to guide patrons effortlessly through lobbies, theatres, and amenities.
- End-to-End Delivery: Our project managers took full ownership of the manufacturing, logistics, and installation processes. We coordinated certified installers in Sydney and Melbourne, ensuring all work was completed to Shogun’s quality standards and delivered strictly within the project schedule.
